Prototype 3, overhang fill was a pain to remove so I devised 3 piece assembly - the overhang now slots into the main body, while the 'door' can slide in and out, held in place by that lip, with the magnet inside connecting to other pieces.
Functional but inelegant, next is to get some smaller thinner magnets given their strength, considerably narrow the walls, and make the opening function better.
I want something that's both functional and looks nice - I might eventually settle on a clear laser cut acrylic friction fit against an interior gallery, but for now it's fun to prototype different potential solutions.
